AWARDS - Request to send books

Introduction 

Due to the nature of the information often required by an award body, and to provide our authors with the most simple and efficient awards service, we ask that you self-nominate / arrange for a colleague to nominate your book for awards as appropriate. Once the nomination is completed, please use this form to let us know and we will take care of the rest.

  1. Request to send Books
    Once you have completed your nomination and have been given the award committee contact details, please use this form to let us know where to send the book.
  2. Award Committee to provide contact details
    Please let us know if you have nominated your book to an award and have been told that the award committee will contact CUP directly with the details of where to send it. The committee should email our     Awards team with the contact details.
  3. Request a PDF for submission
    If a PDF copy of the book is required to be uploaded/sent as part of the submission process (more details below). 
Additional Information
Timeframe
  • Print copies: 
  • One months notice is ideal to ensure they arrive in good time, we cannot guarantee the books will arrive in time if we are not given sufficient notice.
  • Less than 10 working days and we will not send the books without proof of an extended deadline.
  • Digital copies: we require 3 working days notice.
  • India: Titles commissioned in India need a minimum of 4 weeks notice for print and 1 week for digital
Publisher Only Awards
  • Awards that are limited to publisher only submissions are selected by our editorial team and we do not accept direct requests. Please reach out to your editor if you would like them to consider your title.
PDF Required for Submission
  • If the submission instructions stipulate that you should upload or send a Digital Copy/PDF of your book, we will send you a one page PDF with the access code to upload/send in place of the book. The committee members will then be able to download a PDF from your book's webpage on Cambridge Core. We have found that almost all award committees are happy with this arrangement. If you find that they are not, please contact our awards team.
Gratis (Free) Copies
  • Whilst we currently do not enforce a hard limit on the number of gratis copies we can send for both reviews and awards, in cases where that limit has been met, the request will be subject to editorial approval.
